This project was a knee airbag bracket designed for one of our automotive customers, the part was required to be made from a high tensile material, to withstand the explosion of the airbag going off and protecting the vehicle occupant without being a “hot stamped” part. Due to the complexity of the part the blank was developed to save many final trimming operations.
For this project, our customer specified highly intricate pressing of gear box parts. Here is one of the gauges designed for use in manufacture to ensure the tight tolerance was met.
This solution was engineered for a customer in the mining sector. The pipe basket allowed for the safe movement of the pipes and equipment to remote locations, using helicopter or truck.
These racks were designed for an industrial customer that had a multipurpose use for transporting there goods from state to state. While that sounds simple this rack enabled the parts to stay apart from one another while being E-coated, then shipped to another state for pre assembly and then to the final destination, on top of this the rack then folds to approximately a third of the size to save transport back to the start of the cycle.
